The idea behind Shelf2Spoon

Make the pieces of
dinner fit together.

We’re building a connected way to move from what’s in your kitchen to what’s on your plate.

01 / THE SHELF

Start with your pantry.

Give the ingredients you already have a place in the plan. Pantry tracking is part of the product’s local prototype.

02 / THE PLAN

Give your recipes a week.

The prototype brings recipes, weekly meals, servings, and planned leftovers into one workflow. Recipe imports are reviewed before saving.

03 / THE SHOP

Shop with a clear list.

The intended shopping flow combines meal ingredients and everyday essentials, with lists organized by store and department.

Picture a simpler week

Tonight’s dinner.
Tomorrow’s
head start.

A few overlapping ingredients. A meal that makes a little extra. A grocery list that starts where your pantry leaves off.

A few honest answers

Still cooking.

Shelf2Spoon is a work in progress. Here’s what that means today.

See the development status
What is Shelf2Spoon?

Shelf2Spoon is a meal planning, recipe, grocery list, and pantry app in development. The goal is to connect recipes and weekly meals with the ingredients you have and the groceries you need.

Can I download the app now?

Not yet. An Android development prototype exists, but a public release is not available. There is no announced launch date or pricing.

Will it work with my household?

Shared household use is a development priority. It is not connected or available in the current prototype. Data does not yet sync between household members’ phones.

What about recipe imports and leftovers?

The local prototype includes editable recipe import drafts and meal planning with servings and planned leftovers. These workflows still need release testing and refinement. The examples on this website illustrate the idea rather than demonstrate a released app.

Can I start planning without the app?

Yes. The pantry-first meal planning guide is a practical routine you can follow with a notebook or a list on your phone.
